Facts

  • Over 2 million people, a small hot, dry dusty country landlocked between   South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe
  • One of the highest HIV/Aid rate in the world with over 300,000 people living with the disease.
  • Life expectancy fell from 65 in the early 90s to less than 40 by the early 2000s
  • Now over a 130,000 orphans, and countless vulnerable children with a single parent unfortunately often stricken with AIDs, TB or alcoholism.

Objectives

  • To provide funding necessary to ensure the current group of 20 orphaned and vulnerable children are able to attend pre-primary school  on a 5 day a week basis.
  • To provide two meals a day for these children.
  • To build up the numbers of orphaned and vulnerable children in the pre-school to 50, and progressively as funds permit  up to 100.
  • To ensure the pre-school is properly equipped with books, writing material , learning aids and in due course computers, tablets and/or kindles.
